Romance Is In The Air

Startled, he let his eyes meet hers. His thoughts jumbled and he fought to remember what she’d just said. What kind of man thought about another woman when he was about to become engaged? Whatever kind it was, he didn't want to be one of them.

Come experience a sweet Christmas romance in Candle Cove! Available here.

Morgan's Redemption

Morgan Shepherd was a man on a mission. And killing would be the end result. An eye for an eye, a man's life for another. That was the way it should be. Or, the way that he wanted it to be.

Josie Reade had plans of her own, as well. And they didn't include a mail-order husband, despite her father's best intentions.

He had a nice voice. Calm. Friendly. If he was nervous, it did not show. . . .he was quite sure of himself. Was that good or bad? She stared at his handsome profile. A man with that much self-assurance might not be as honorable as he appeared, she decided. It would be best if she kept an eye on him. Pa was too trusting. Too eager to find a husband for her. Not that he was going to accomplish that task.

But God always has a way of putting His own plan into motion and changing a person's heart. Even people as stubborn as Josie and Morgan. Will they listen to what He has to say?

Morgan's Redemption: His Bluebonnet Bride, is available on Amazon for $2.99. A free read on Amazon Prime and Kindle Unlimited!

Morgan's Redemption

"I guess I'll get right to the point on matters. I think you ought to know what Pa is up to. He's writing off to strangers to bring them here to marry me. He's been doing it for months. . .I suppose that some might find love that way, but I don't know." ~Josie Reade

Morgans Redemption, the third and last book in The Early Years (Chance Creek Brides) series, is now available on Amazon!

The dusty trails in these mountains haven't been so dusty, here of late. We've had enough rain to do us for a while, and probably more to come. I hope most of you are drier than we've been!

If nothing else, all this rain makes for some good reading time. And watching movies, too. If you haven't seen the movie Conagher, you might enjoy the story about a lady pioneer that heads west with her husband and two step-children, only to be widowed and left alone, with the children, on their lonely homestead.

She soon meets Conn Conagher (Sam Elliot) and her life begins to change. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, music, and sweet romance in this movie.

Happy Dusty Trails!

Ethan's Wild Rose Bride

He stopped at the table just as Fred began a new conversation. "Guess you fellas heard about Chip Howard's new wife."    Stumpy Stern shook his head. "Not me."

The others turned their attention to Fred.
The man paused a moment for effect, waiting for their complete attention. "Got her out of the newspaper."
"No!" They all protested Fred's statement, mumbling among themselves.
Ethan edged a little closer. It wasn't often that you heard an interesting story like this one. The usual talk was that of cattle, crops, too much rain, or drought. Sometimes a story about a stranger passing through. Anything to pass the time. But this seemed like a more remarkable sort of thing. Possibly a story that would continue on as the months went by.

A marriage by mail was more like a business contract than a love arrangement. It could have its benefits. No need to give your heart away.
